A Time To Weep
Hello Beautiful People!
Today is the day the Lord has made, so let us rejoice in His great goodness, shall we?! Here the weather is gorgeous out, and I'll probably go outside to do my Bible reading shortly, but first, I wanted to post something. We all know we won't live forever, and as I've said, a lot recently, it is important to love yourself and love life, buuuuut that said, there is, also, a time to weep and mourn, and it doesn't make you a bad person, if that is where you are at in life!
Last post, I mentioned that, most of the time, our "problems," aren't really problems, and asked the question, "what really is a problem?" Granted, there are bad things in this world, and we will ALL face struggles and have times that we are just barely keeping our head above the water, but with God, we can all have hope that things will get better! There is a silver lining to EVERYTHING if you just take the time to look for it! I hope that, my recent incredibly, bubbly attitude hasn't made me appear indifferent or insensitive to any one's struggles, but that it has, instead, encouraged you to try and find the joy in whatever you are facing!
My prayer, for this blog, and for my life, is that I will shine Him to those I come in contact with, whether it be through social media or in person. Just because I'm happy and joyful, it doesn't mean that I can't empathize with those in a harder time of life than me. I know that this world can be a dark place and that there are many, many bad things in this world, but if we, as Christians, choose to find the good in all the bad, instead of the bad in all the good, we can shine some light into the darkest of places. I don't want to shove my faith down any one's throat, but if I choose to have a different perspective on things, than those of this world, than hopefully, they will see that I am changed!
Ecclesiastes 3:4 "...a time to weep, a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance..."
If we don't struggle we won't be able to truly appreciate all the good in this world, but at the same time, if we don't allow ourselves to appreciate the good we won't have anything to fight for when we are in a dark place. I have dealt with depression and with suicidal thoughts, but because of Jesus, and because I know what a wonderful life I truly live, I have been able to walk through it and not bury myself deeper. If you struggle with this too, and if you are in that place, right now, Jesus can help you make it through, because He is with you all the time; and He wants to show you that life can be fantastic if you stick around to see it.
Some people think it's immature for me to think that life is fantastic, but I beg to differ. As I have said, above (and many, many other times) I struggle too, but at the same time, I choose to trust God has a plan, and I choose to see past my sorrow and see how GREAT my God is! Life is beautiful because God is still on the throne and He is still in control of my life no matter what happens! It doesn't matter what I face, He is still the same, so to that, I cling with all my might and in that, I find my joy! If you think it's immature to find the beauty in your life, than you have bigger problems that you need to walk through, and I will not change to satisfy you're ideals. I will not change for anyone, but Jesus and myself, end of story. There are definitely people who have an influence on areas I work at changing, but when it comes down to it, I live for my Savior not anyone else! I appreciate, constructive advice, said in love, but anything else is just white noise to me, and that is how it should be.
I pray that this post finds you in a joyful state of mind (if you are from NH, and even if not, check out this clothing line, it's fantastic)!, However, if you are not in that place, I hope that you will cling to Jesus as you journey to get there, and that you find peace in Him!
Until Next Time!
