Furthering The Kingdom From Your Phone

Hello Everyone, I just want to encourage all of you today that no matter your circumstances you can further the kingdom of Christ. Even if your house/bed bound due to health, and or finances you can still reach out to others, and start a revolution of women and/or men! As most of you know I've been pretty much homebound since last August as well as months the year previous and on days it's been extremely difficult and discouraging, but God has a plan, all!  Not only have I been able to write some on this blog that I've been told has encouraged others, but I'm part of two Christian women's groups on Facebook, as well, as been more aware of what I post on my newsfeeds. I'm not writing this to brag on myself, but to encourage all of you that no matter where you are at in life you can still serve Christ! You don't have to go half way around the world to be a missionary...you can spread His love and truth in your own circle in person and from your phone or com...

Your Thoughts Are Not Your Facts

Hello Everyone, I just wanted to take a moment to remind you all of something...So Monday I had a conversation that made me feel very poorly about myself and old insecurities came flooding into my heart, mind and soul. All of which took several days of wrestling against it get past it. One thing I kept reminding myself was that my thoughts and feelings are not my facts and my truth. What other people think of me isn't always accurate and what has been done to me, doesn't define my worth. You are child of God if you have accepted His gift of salvation and that makes you priceless . It doesn't matter what others say about you, or what you let yourself think about yourself, you are worth it, you are loved, and you have purpose! If you didn't, you wouldn't be alive to read this post. Sometimes we need to block people from our lives, but just as importantly, sometimes we have to block our insecurities and thoughts. It takes a lot of soul searching and work to break up...

He Isn't Finished With You Yet

Hello Everyone, I just wanted to pop on here and remind all of you that if you are breathing and if you are reading this, you still have a purpose that only God can fulfill through you, otherwise He'd take you Home right now. Your purpose may only be to plant seeds in someone's heart, or encourage them, tomorrow, or two years from now etc....we don't get to know all the answers this side of Heaven, but know He has a plan for your life! If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, or suicidal thoughts today, I'd encourage you to reach out to someone, but, also, turn to the ONE who can help you better than anyone else can. He made you, He knows you, and He has never left your side. No matter what you are struggling with that is causing you to want to give up on this side of Heaven, know He will get you through it because you are still here. When you feel like no one knows what you are going through God knows ! This past week I ended up in the hospital overnight due to ...

And He Denied Him Three Times

Hello All, Have you ever read the Bible and thought, "How can they deny that is God, it's so obvious?" or "How can they do that, when they just had an encounter with God Himself?" I know I have, but lately, I've come to the realization that they are just humans, as I am and if I was in their shoes I might've done the same thing. This may seem like something that is obvious, but it is so easy to judge from the outside looking in, when in reality we can't fully understand what is going on without being in the situation ourselves. Even if we have been in similar situations, we have not walked their entire lives so we don't know fully why they react a certain way. It can be easy to assume we would react a differently if we were in their  shoes, but without being them, we can never know for sure. Today I read the story of the Passover and of when Jesus was betrayed by Judas. (Luke 22) Though what struck me most wasn't that He was betrayed by som...

Just Because It Hurts, Doesn't Mean It Isn't God

Hello Everyone,  The title for the post might seem obvious, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who in life's darkest hour, wonders how this could be God's will. As my recent posts have stated, I've been dealing with some hard stuff this past year and a half, and I will admit I've asked "why" several times, but He is still good! I may not know all that He has instore for me, and all the reasons He is allowing me to go through all this, but I know one thing for sure...while I've been struggling He is working, and He has great plans for me! As I talked about last post, spending time in His word more regularly has really helped get my perspective focused above and more on what He can do through me and not what is happening to me. It is through lives interruptions that we often take Him up on His invitation to seek Him the most. I still struggle with the why, especially this week as I ended up in the ER twice (once by ambulance), but I know that He has...

What We Put in Will Become Who We Are

Image
Hey All, So I'm still in a rough season, however, in the last couple months I've restarted doing my Jesus time almost first thing, and making sure I do it everyday. This may not seem like that big of a deal to some, but especially in a tough season of life it is SO important! I think that it is important in both the mountain and valley times of our lives, but it is crucial in those valley times so we can be filled with His peace instead of anxiety as well as get clarity and learn what He wants us to. Not only have I been doing my daily Jesus time while listening to Air1 , I have, also, been watching a sermon or two a week, and just read (Un) qualified by Steven Furtick which is one of the best books I've EVER read! I've been "going" to Elevation for a couple of years now and I can't speak highly enough about the ministry that this church family is in my life! God has spoken to me during each sermon and song to the point of tears most weeks! L...
